- The Pommern (earlier name Mneme) -  is a windjammer turned into a museum ship. She is a four masted barque that was built 1903 in Glasgow. She is one of the Flying P-Liners, the famous sailing ships of the German shipping company F. Laeisz. Later she belonged to Gustaf Erikson (Åland) who used her to carry grain from Spencer Gulf area in Australia to harbours in England or Ireland until the start of World War II.
- The Åland Maritime Museum - preserves memories of the sailing-ships, one of its exhibits being the red-brown captain’s saloon from the four masted barque Hertzogen Cecilie, one of Gustaf Erikson’s ships. She ran aground off the coast of England in 1936 and before she sank her saloon was salvaged and brought to Åland.
- Boat building traditions are kept alive at the Maritime Quarter in the Eastern Harbour. Among the red sheds there is a boatyard and a smithy as well as a boat and shipbuilding museum. Several small ships have been built there, including the galleass Albanus and the schooner Linden.
- The Åland Museum - exhibits the history of Åland from prehistoric times up to the present day. The Åland Art Museum displays pictures by both old and young Åland artists and the Mariehamn Gallery at the Western Harbour has a model of Mariehamn in the 1920s with its wooden houses.

Mariehamn Ferry Port Facilities:
Mariehamn is an exciting summer town offering two large marinas, as well as many hotels and restaurants, most within walking distance. Almost 1.5 million people a year come to Åland, the majority arriving by one of the ferries at the Western Harbour of Mariehamn.

Near Mariehamn ferry port passengers will find a good selection of shops and restaurants, with hotels also close at hand. In the ferry port area there is a good selection of facilities including a restaurant, bar, public toilets and taxi stand. Within 500 meters you will find a tourist information centre and bureau de change.

Viking Line services the ferry route from Helsinki to Stockholm, which stops at Mariehamn en-route. The entire journey takes 16 hours, with the Helsinki to Mariehamn section taking 11 hours. This route is serviced once daily, with departures from Helsinki at 17:30, arriving in Marienhamn port at 4:25 and then sailing on to Stockholm, arriving at 9:30 the following morning.

The second route is from the port of Turku to Stockholm, which stops en route at Marienhamn and Långnäs. The journey from Turku to Marienhamn takes 5 hours and 25 minutes. The entire journey, Turku-Stockholm, takes 10 hours. This service is operated twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. There is also one daily return service from Marienhamn to Stockholm, departing at 9:00 and arriving in Stockholm at 14:00, onboard the ferry Cinderella. There is also a twice-daily crossing from Mariehamn to Kapellskär, which takes just 1 ½ hours. Times of this sailing vary seasonally.
