Getting There - By Car
COLOR LINE TERMINAL:
The Color Line terminal in Oslo is located at Hjortneskai, about four kilometres from the city centre. If you are approaching from the south on the E18, follow this road past Sjolyst and the small boat harbour on your right. Follow the signs for Hjortneskaien, Kiel/Hirthals. If you are approaching from the north on the E6 follow this road through the city centre to Festningstunell, and from here follow the signs for Drammen on the E18. When you get to Oslotunnell, follow the signs for Hjortnes/Ferry to the quayside.
DFDS SEAWAYS TERMINAL:
Coming from Mosseveien or the North
Follow the E6 towards "Oslo S" / Oslo Sentrum until you see a road sign with a ferry symbol and the names "Kobenhavn", "Helsingborg" and "Fredrikshavn". Continue in this direction until you reach a large roundabout above the E6. Keep left at the roundabout and continue to follow the road sign to the ferries. Soon you will pass a big pink building on your right hand side and then you will approach a new roundabout. Passengers travelling with a vehicle who have a prepaid ticket may drive straight over the roundabout towards the signs "bil innsjekk"/car check-in" for Kobenhavn/Copenhagen and Helsingborg.
Coming from Drammensveien:
Follow the E18 towards "Oslo S" / Oslo Sentrum, pass Colorline's terminal - "Hjortneskaia" and go through the tunnel - "Festningstunnellen". Keep right and exit by the ferry sign. After the tunnel, keep left and turn left at the crossroads at the end of the tunnel towards "Vippetangen". Passengers traveling with a vehicle who have a prepaid the ticket may keep to the left, and go "back" the same direction as where you came from in a parallel street. (Do not turn in towards the ferry terminal) Continue about 150 m and take right in the roundabout towards bil innsjekk" / "car-check-in" for Kobenhavn/Copenhagen and Helsingborg.
STENA LINE TERMINAL:
Same directions as for DFDS Seaways Terminal, but follow the signs for Frederikshavn.
Getting There - By Bus
DFDS SEAWYAS AND STENA LINE TERMINAL ONLY.
To and from The Central Station/Oslo S and Vippetangen
Take bus No.60 - Vippetangen, from Oslo S to Vippetangen. The bus stops outside "Jernbanetorvets Apotek" - the Central station's pharmacy, opposite to the entrance of the shopping mall "Byporten". The bus departs approximately every 20 minutes and takes approximately 5 minutes to Vippetangen, (or "Fiskehallen") which is the last stop.
Bus No.60 returns from Vippetangen, The bus depart approximately every 20 minutes also in this direction. The Bus departs approximately 15 minutes after the ship has docked.
Parking
COLOR LINE TERMINAL:
Car park for Color Line passengers only under the terminal building at Hjortnes. Follow the signs upon arrival at the quayside. When booked in advance, parking costs around NOK 150 per day. When not book in advance, parking costs about NOK 170 per day. The car park is only open during the arrival/departure of one of our ships.
DFDS SEAWAYS AND STENA LINE TERMINAL:
There is car parking available at Vippetangen. Tickets are purchased at the ticket office in the terminal building, and cannot be reserved or ordered in advance. The ticket cost NOK 65, - for every 24 hours, (price as of 28.07.2003). The car is parked at owner's responsibility and risk; the parking area is not patrolled.
